Cracking new yearling filly set to join the stable from emerging stallion!

It was a busy day for ACM Racing yesterday! Whilst we were saddling up our impressive Hawkesbury winner, Layin' Four, we were also negotiating the purchase of an absolutely cracking yearling filly from the emerging Darley stallion Earthlight.

We inspected this filly early on Sunday and expected her to sell outside of our budget so were quick on the phones when she passed in and were able to negotiate the purchase for $35k. We feel strongly that this is an exceptional buy for a filly of this quality.

A little information about Earthlight (https://www.darley.com.au/stallions/our-stallions/earthlight#section--pedigree). He was the Champion 2yo in France in 2019 with a perfect record of 5 starts for 5 wins. As a 3yo he went on to win a further 2 races from 4 starts. As you can see from his pictures and videos at the above link he is a serious stallion who had blistering 2yo speed that he looks certain to pass on to his offspring. With Australia being the premier 2yo racing jurisdiction in the world you can understand why Darley chose to send him down under.

Her dam, Poison Ivy, won two races and has had 6 horses to the races with all of them being winners. The best of the progeny was Lotion, by the unfashionable stallion Good Journey, who managed to win a race at 2 along with the all important black type and over $463k in prizemoney. All the family have run and we have 2yo form on both sides of the page which will give us a chance of our filly running early and fast.

She will be arriving at the stable today (14 February) so get in contact soon to arrange an inspection and register your interest.
